I once saw Joe Barbera, of Hanna/Barbera cartoon fame, in an interview on TV. He talked about his various comic characters and referred to Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy as Beagles, which is obvious when you look at them. Have you ever seen a tri-colored dachhund?
